What an outstanding evening of deliciousness you provided so lovingly for us on Saturday! It is hard to beat fishing the Test, with Mayfly hatching in unusual abundance, in equally unusually pleasant English weather! Janie came extremely close with a superb fillet of steak, scrumptious puds and ripe cheeses, delivered to the river bank, spot on time.

It was such a treat. The canapés (especially the quails egg ones which I could just eat forever) and the beef were off the charts in every aspect. We had some very happy/amazed guests. I was still eating the beef on Sunday!

I never had a moment’s doubt about the success of Tuesday’s Reception in The Long Room, but the way it all worked out was beyond all expectations! The food was delicious and looked so pretty. Your staff were perfect and paced it all brilliantly. Even The Long Room acquired a certain chic with your tables and chairs, as well as those olive trees, and baskets of rosemary all along the window ledges.
